Please join Willamette Riverkeeper and your local River Guardians volunteers, to help clean up your Eugene-Springfield riverbanks and greenway paths the second Tuesday of every month.
February's Trashy Tuesday in the Eugene-Springfield area will start at the Aspen/D Street boat ramp and take out at Alton Baker Park. Boat captains will meet at the Aspen/D Street boat ramp at 8:15AM for an 8:30AM shuttle to Alton Baker Park. Those without boats are welcome to participate in the shuttle, or meet us all at 9AM at Aspen/D Street boat ramp to launch the cleanup.
RSVPs are REQUIRED. Please contact organizer, Michelle Emmons at firstname.lastname@example.org or text 541-913-4318 with your confirmation. Please indicate whether you will be bringing your own boat or interested in a seat in a driftboat or raft, (as available).
All BYOB paddlers must be able to adequately paddle in class 2 moving water. NO BOAT? NO WORRIES - your RSVP will reserve a seat in a raft or driftboat as available. Because we will be working from the water, lifejackets are REQUIRED. We can provide for those without, as long as we have an RSVP ahead of time. Again, please indicate your needs in your email, and whether or not you will BYOB.
Please wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeves and pants. Bring water and appropriate layers for the weather. Gloves, pickers, garbage bags, tarps AND COFFEE will be provided - thanks to this month's local cleanup coffee sponsor, The Barn Light.
