When older adults experience abuse, neglect, or exploitation they face unique barriers to seeking help and accessing services. Abuse in Later Life is when an older adult experiences physical, emotional/psychological, sexual, financial abuse tactics, and/or neglect in the context of a trusting relationship.
This training overviews unique abuse tactics older adults may be experiencing, how to best serve a more vulnerable population, which agencies you may need to partner with, and tips of working collaboratively to provide a whole-person response to this traditionally underserved population.
