Unite Oregon's Resilient Connections will be hosting a queer/immigrant/refugee poetry night in April under the full moon. Resilient Connections events center the rich journeys and experiences of individuals whose lives have been marked by intersectionality created by migration, queerness, and the path to self-determination. We open the space to strrenghten community bonds and celebrate existence and resistance.
Come join us for an evening of poetry featuring local poets from 6:30-7:15, followed by an open-mic section until 8pm.
Show up at the door, sign up, and the space is yours. We ask your to keep your performance under 5 minutes. We intend for this event to be a safe space that centers the experiences of queer, trans, and/or immigrant/refugee folks, and an opportunity for community members to join and listen.
Childcare, light snacks, and Spanish and Arabic interpretation will be provided throughout the event.
For ADA accommodations, interpretation in other languages, or questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
** This event is brought to you by the 2017 PILOT cohort.
